Taylor Lautner's rep has brushed off reports the actor is studying to become a personal trainer after bulking up for the vampire franchise.

Lautner packed 30 pounds (13 kilograms) on his frame to keep his role as werewolf Jacob Black in The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

The former martial arts champion was set to open up his own workout centre, and even “took courses online for $200", according to Star magazine.

However, his spokesperson insists the actor isn't trading Hollywood for a gym full-time, adding: "This is not true."
