Nicole Scherzinger, Melanie Chisholm and Samantha Barks were among the stars who performed for an upcoming U.K. TV special in honour of legendary composer Andrew Lloyd Webber on Saturday (16Mar13).

A host of celebrity fans gathered for the TV taping at London's Fountain Studios to salute the theatre impresario for his four decades in the entertainment industry.

British singer/TV presenter Myleene Klass joined the likes of Scherzinger, Chisholm and Les Miserables star Barks as they each performed some of Lloyd Webber's most famous tracks, including songs from his musicals Jesus Christ Superstar, Cats and Evita.

Barks tweeted, "Had such a lovely night singing for the Andrew Lloyd Webber tribute night!" while Scherzinger added, "Just finished my performance for Andrew Lloyd Webber... It was unbelievable and epic."

In a post on his Twitter.com page on Monday (18Mar13), the composer wrote, "Great to be back at Fountain Studios at the weekend. Thank you to everyone who took part."

Andrew Lloyd Webber: 40 Musical Years will air in the U.K. on 31 March (13) and is also set to include appearances from Sir Michael Caine and Simon Cowell.
