Evan Rachel Wood's starring turn in Spider-Man, the musical is on course to open on Broadway on time, according to producers who have have dismissed rumours the project has been hit with financial difficulties. Evan Rachel Wood and Alan Cumming are set to star in the Broadway extravaganza, which opens in New York next February (10), while U2 stars Bono and The Edge have written tracks for the score.Tabloids reports recently claimed preparation for the technically demanding musical had ground to a halt because of cash flow problems on the $35 million production.But a spokesperson for Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark is adamant the show will go on and the previews will open on 25 February (10) as planned.
