Rihanna's 777 tour documentary set for TV
Rihanna is to give fans a glimpse into her controversial seven-day round-the-world tour in a TV documentary.
The We Found Love hitmaker invited a number of journalists and fans to join her on a private jet as she promoted her seventh album Unapologetic by visiting seven countries in seven days last November (12).
Now the singer is airing a behind-the-scenes look at the ambitious
777 Tour and its backstage chaos in an upcoming TV special, Rihanna
777, which will premiere on Fox on 6 May (13).
Rihanna came under fire from reporters who came along for the ride
after barely interacting with her fellow passengers, and she later
apologised for locking herself away from the rest of the group
during the trip.
The star explained she needed to spend her down time resting, but
admitted she would love to try the idea again: "I would do this
next time with more people, more cities and sit back with the fans
more. I had to preserve my voice. I was worried about my body more
than partying on the plane, so I had to just sleep whenever I
could. I hope you guys had as much fun as I did."
Rihanna visited New York, Mexico City in Mexico, Toronto, Canada,
Stockholm in Sweden, Paris, France, Berlin in Germany, and London
on her 777 Tour.
