Rihanna's comeback has been given a huge pop chart boost - her new single Russian Roulette has rocketed up the Billboard Hot 100 to give the singer her 12th top 10 hit. The song has jumped up the countdown from 75 to nine after the singer went public with the details of her attack at the hands of ex-boyfriend Chris Brown on 20/20 last week (06Nov09). But download sales of 132,000 weren't enough to challenge Owl City's Fireflies, which returns to the top of the chart. Last week's number one, Jason DeRulo's Whatcha Say, drops to three as Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' Bi g Apple anthem Empire State of Mind jumps up from three to two. Iyaz's Replay jumps up eight spots to four and Jay Sean's Down rounds out the top five. The countdown's highest debut belongs to Justin Bieber, whose Favorite Girl enters the chart at 26.
