Rey reveals teen booze hell

Acclaimed singer/songwriter Lana Del Rey has confessed to a past drinking problem in her teens.

The Radio singer croons about her past love for Bacardi rum in the lyrics of the song Off to the Races and she admits her parents sent her to boarding school in a bid to curb her boozing.

She tells Rolling Stone magazine, "Back when I was drinking a lot, I got in trouble and was sent to boarding school. But I straightened out after that.

"I've been clean for some time now. I haven't had a drink in many years."
