Pregnant Zooey Deschanel engaged

Actress/singer Zooey Deschanel has become engaged to her producer boyfriend Jacob Pechenik just days after announcing her pregnancy.

The New Girl star revealed she is expecting her first child last week (13Jan15), and now Us Weekly magazine reports the parents-to-be are set to wed.

A representative for the expectant mother has confirmed the news to People.com.

Deschanel, who is due to give birth to the baby this summer (15), began dating the Jobs moviemaker last year (14) after meeting on the set of forthcoming movie Rock the Kasbah.

This will be her second marriage - she wed Death Cab for Cutie rocker Ben Gibbard in 2009, but they split in 2012.

Deschanel's sister, fellow TV star Emily, is also pregnant. The Bones actress revealed she is expecting her second child with actor/writer David Hornsby last month (Dec14).
