Hip-hop mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs has been targeted in a new 'swatting' attack after police received false reports of gunfire and a blaze at his ex-girlfriend's Los Angeles home.
Cops rushed to the property, where Kim Porter lives with their four children, in the early hours of Thursday (29Jan15) after learning a disturbing letter, containing threats to kill everyone in the house, was left on the doorstep.
However, the emergency turned out to be a hoax as there was no one at home, and no sign of the threatening note, when officers arrived on the scene.
Moments after the authorities left the home, police bosses received another call reporting multiple gunshots at the property and a huge fire. Cops raced back to the scene, but again found no evidence of the allegations, according to TMZ.com.
Officials are now investigating the source of the prank calls, which comes two years after Diddy was targetted in a similar stunt.
Celebrities like Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus, Rihanna and Ashton Kutcher also fell victim to the sick jokers.
It is not yet known if the 'swatting' scams are linked.
