Police officials extend search for Dave Mustaine's mother-in-law

Police in San Diego, California have widened their search for Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine's 75-year-old mother-in-law after she went missing on Saturday (04Oct14).

Sally Estabrook, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease, was last seen with her husband at a campground in Julian, California.

Search-and-rescue teams from four counties and the Border Patrol extended their search on Tuesday (07Oct14).

Sheriff's officials are interviewing locals and checking through surveillance video footage.

Mustaine took to Twitter.com on Monday (06Oct14) and urged fans to "send good thoughts" to his wife Pam "as we search for her mom".
