PATRICK DEMPSEY SNEAKS AUTO-RACING CLAUSE INTO TV CONTRACT

Patrick Dempsey has turned his decade-long auto racing hobby into a part-time career - after he "slipped in" a new clause in his Grey'S Anatomy TV contract.

The Hollywood hunk was worried network bosses at ABC would ban him from high speed races - and admits he came up with a cunning plan to maintain his involvement the dangerous sport.

He says, "I am (surprised). We re-negotiated and in the contract we slipped it in that I had to go racing - and they signed it for some reason. They allowed it!"
