Paris Jackson won't be harassed into writing Father's Day post

Paris Jackson has taken aim at Twitter users who berated her decision not to post about Father’s Day.

The 18-year-old star is the middle daughter of late King of Pop Michael Jackson, who died of a prescription drug overdose of Propofol and Benzodiazepine in June 2009.

While dads and children around the world celebrated Father’s Day on Sunday (19Jun16), Paris decided not to publicly post about the day. Some social media users seemingly disagreed with this.

“if you try to harass someone into posting online about a holiday (fathers day), ask yourself if it's any of your business (sic),” she angrily tweeted her 1.23 million followers.

"having 8 tattoos dedicated to someone overrules a single post about them on a stupid social media acc (account) because of a holiday. #justmyopinion"

Fans were quick to offer support, telling the star to ignore the comments. Plenty of people wanted to remember Thriller star Michael too, posting sweet throwback snaps of him and children Paris, 19-year-old Prince and Prince Michael II, known as Blanket, 14.

Paris is no stranger to sharing online, and recently took to her Instagram account to show off some new body art honoring her late dad, including the cover of his 1991 album Dangerous on her forearm.

In a lengthy post she explained that the tattoos served as a way for her to cover her self-harm scars.

“today i can look at my inner forearms and see art that has meaning for me, i don't see a dark past anymore,” she wrote. “my scars and past of self-hatred have been covered by loving marks, creativity, ingenuity.. and depth. Sure i will always carry my past with me, but i see ink as a way of changing for the better, always improving. they represent strength for me. i look back at my old self and then i look in the mirror, and i see a fighter looking back at me. i'll always keep fighting, and encouraging others to stay strong (sic).”
