One Direction phone booth up for auction

The phone booth featured on the cover of One Direction's Take Me Home album is going under the hammer.

Bosses at Julien's Auctions have acquired the quirky keepsake and they will be selling it to the highest bidder on 20 May (17).

Fans will get the chance to see the British phone box, which once supported the boy band members, up close when it goes on display at the Hard Rock Cafe in London from Thursday (14Apr17).

The album cover prop will be auctioned as part of Julien's Auctions Music Icons sale.

Auction house boss Darren Julien tells WENN the phone booth is estimated to fetch up to $6,000 , but he expects it "to sell for a lot more".
