OLIVIA WILDE DEFENDS MEGAN FOX OVER STRANGLING OX REMARKS

Olivia Wilde has defended Megan Fox after she made a controversial remark about wanting to throttle an ox.

The Transformers star caused outrage by complimenting the House actress' looks, saying, "Olivia Wilde is so sexy, she makes me want to strangle a mountain ox."

But Wilde, who supports animal rights organisation People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), has spoken out to defend Fox's choice of "witty" words, insisting she didn't mean them literally.

She tells Playboy magazine, "I thought it was a witty, clever choice of words. It's rare when actors in this business compliment each other. I'm sure she means no harm to the mountain oxen."
