Nikki Reed unveils beauty products as part of sustainable lifestyle line

Twilight actress Nikki Reed has debuted a range of beauty products as part of her new sustainable lifestyle line.

The 28-year-old star has partnered with Freedom of Animals founder, Morgan Bogle, on a brand named BaYou With Love, which offers up an eco-friendly line of accessories and products.

Nikki kicked off the official launch by unveiling four plant-based cosmetics created with retailer Anthropologie, including a lip and cheek tint with SPF, a perfume with sandalwood and bergamot, and a calendula healing balm, which are all presented in a vegan leather purse.

"When I changed to a plant-based diet, my skincare routine began to mirror my philosophy with health and wellness," she told The Hollywood Reporter of her interest in natural products. "I began using more oils, and I became obsessed with understanding why we don't treat our skin, which is our largest organ, with the same respect as our other organs... Now I wear less make-up and focus more on skincare."

Inspired by the Louisiana Bayou, all of the products for BaYou With Love are made in the U.S.

And as Nikki is currently expecting her first child with her actor husband Ian Somerhalder, choosing locally made and natural products is important for the brunette star.

"Finding low-chemical options is especially important to me now as I enter into this next chapter as a mom. I grew up in Southern California with a love for sage and sandalwood mixed with earth and dirt. I like things that mimic nature," she shared.

With BaYou With Love, Nikki joins the likes of Hollywood entrepreneurs Gwyneth Paltrow and Jessica Alba in creating her own line of lifestyle products. As well as cosmetics, the company also offers up garments made from recycled cotton, a backpack made from recycled plastic and cotton as well as a blanket made from cotton and hemp.
