Nicole Richie joins fashion show

Nicole Richie is set to put her fashion expertise to the test by joining Jessica Simpson as a judge on Elle Macpherson's stylish new reality TV show.

The socialite runs her own fashion lines, Winter Kate and House of Harlow 1960, and she will now help budding designers as they compete to win a multi-million dollar contract on new programme Fashion Star, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six.

Simpson has already been announced as a judge, while Macpherson will host the show, which will offer 12 contestants the chance to launch a line in a retail store.
