Nicola Peltz is taking over from Megan Fox and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley as the new leading lady in the Transformers franchise.
The 18 year old, best known for her role in panned blockbuster The Last Airbender, will play Mark Wahlberg's onscreen daughter in the fourth installment in the robot series, which is being rebooted without original star Shia LaBeouf.
Director Michael Bay announced the casting news by posting a picture of the actress on his official blog, with the words, "Welcome Nicola Peltz to Transformers 4."
Fox starred in the first two Transformers movies, but model Huntington-Whiteley replaced her for 2011's Transformers: Dark of the Moon following the actress' famous falling out with Bay.
The fourth movie is due for release next year (14).
