NICKI MINAJ DENIES MIMING AT BET AWARDS

Nicki Minaj has brushed off allegations she cheated fans by miming lyrics at Sunday's (27Jun10) 2010 BET Awards, insisting she did not lip-sync during the show.

The rapper was accused of mouthing the words to her tracks when she took the stage for two performances at the annual awards ceremony - where she scored wins in three categories.

The Massive Attack hitmaker has now hit back at critics upset by her apparent lack of vocal effort - she's adamant technical difficulties were to blame.

In a post on her Twitter.com page, she writes, "U (sic) could hear me in the auditorium but apparently not in TV land. Shout out to the sound guy."

And the rapper is looking forward to proving critics wrong when the show rebroadcasts, with the sound issues resolved.

She adds, "They say it'll (be) fixed wen (sic) it re-airs."
