Nick and Vanessa Lachey celebrate at baby shower

Singer/TV presenter Nick Lachey and his wife Vanessa celebrated the impending birth of their second child on Saturday (01Nov14) by hosting a festive baby shower.

The stars announced in July (14) that they are expecting a little girl, a sister for their two-year-old son Camden, and they gathered their friends and family for a cupcake-filled bash this weekend.

Vanessa later took to Instagram.com to share a sweet shot of Nick cradling his wife's growing baby bump, and in the accompanying caption, the mother-to-be writes, "Today was a good day! The perfect 'sprinkle' of love."

The baby shower took place a day after the Lacheys marked Halloween (31Oct14) by co-ordinating their outfits to portray characters from Peter Pan.

Vanessa donned a long, curly black wig and a pirate's outfit to trick or treat as Captain Hook, while Nick dressed up as Peter Pan and young Camden wore a crocodile costume to mark the holiday.

Sharing a picture of the trio online on Friday, Vanessa wrote, "The Lacheys in Neverland! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!".
