NATALIE PORTMAN IS NO FAIR LADY

Natalie Portman's representative has dismissed rumours she's been lined up for the lead role in a remake of My Fair Lady.

Keira Knightley was tipped to take the part of Eliza Doolittle, which was made famous by Audrey Hepburn in the 1964 musical, but the British actress withdrew from the race to land the lead earlier this year (10) after waiting two years for the movie to begin production.

Portman was subsequently reported to be in the running to star in the remake, but a spokesperson for the 28 year old is adamant she's not involved.

The rep tells Gossip Cop the rumours are "not true."
