Miranda Cosgrove planning Independence Day party at new home

Actress Miranda Cosgrove is bringing her college mates and musical pals together for a university Independence Day (04Jul13) barbecue.

The iCarly and School of Rock star has just completed her first year as a student at the prestigious University of Southern California and she's celebrating with a Fourth of July bash at her home off campus.

She says, "I'm having my first party... A bunch of my band members that I went on tour with are coming and they're really good cooks... I'm not a good cook."
