Miley Cyrus' ex Stella Maxwell is the new face of Max Factor

Miley Cyrus' supermodel ex Stella Maxwell has been named the new face of cosmetics giant Max Factor.

The Northern Irish beauty will join fellow Victoria's Secret Angel, and new mum, Candice Swanepoel as an ambassador for the make-up brand.

Max Factor bosses announced the news on Wednesday (12Oct16), stating Stella’s "transformative looks and aspirational lifestyle" perfectly complement the company's "ethos of contemporary beauty".

Maxwell, who briefly dated 'pansexual' Miley last year (15) before the pop star reconnected with her ex-fiance Liam Hemsworth, will feature in the brand's upcoming 2017 campaign.

"I remember stealing Max Factor products from my sister when I first discovered make up and now, more than ever, I rely on the products for whatever my hectic schedule demands," the model says. "I can’t wait to reveal the new Max Factor launches for 2017."

It's shaping up to be an amazing year for Stella - she was named Maxim's Sexiest Woman Alive this summer (16).

She was also romantically linked to Twilight star Kristen Stewart in May (16), but it appears the actress has now moved on to St. Vincent star Annie Clark, who previously dated model and film star Cara Delevingne.

Stella has never spoken about her famous flings, insisting, "I keep my personal life personal."

Maxwell was born in Belgium to parents from Belfast, but she moved to New Zealand when she was a teenager and grew up in Wellington.
