Miley Cyrus calls out tabloid editors over false reports
Miley Cyrus has taken a break from her headline-grabbing Bangerz tour to slam false tabloid reports about her friendship with Justin Bieber and speculation she is in talks to star in the TV musical Peter Pan.
The Wrecking Ball hitmaker is no stranger to tabloid gossip, but on Monday (24Feb14), outspoken Cyrus decided to fight back to set the record straight about two new tales.
She posted a Star magazine article, in which a source revealed the
singer is hoping to land the "dream role" of Tinkerbell in the live
TV broadcast of Peter Pan later this year, on Twitter.com, and
raged, "I would rather choke on my own tongue."
She then shared another image of a Life & Style article, in which
she was pictured cozying up with Bieber at Pharrell Williams'
recent birthday party, and slammed reports suggesting his
ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez was "convinced" the pop pair was seeing
each other behind her back when she was dating the Baby
hitmaker.
Cyrus wrote, "Btw (by the way) this (photo) is photoshopped. Biebs
wasn't at Pharrell's (Williams) bday (birthday) party."
In a final jab at the tabloid, she wrote, "I never read this s**t &
that's why."
