Married Sonic Youth stars split

Sonic Youth stars Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon have split after 27 years of marriage.
The alternative rockers announced the news on Friday (14Oct11) but insist they remain committed to the band's upcoming tour plans.
A representative for their label Matador Records tells E! News,
"Sonic Youth, with both Kim and Thurston involved, will proceed
with its South American tour dates in November. Plans beyond that
tour are uncertain. The couple has requested respect for their
personal privacy and does not wish to issue further comment."
The couple married in 1984 and have a 17-year-old daughter,
Coco.
