Maroon 5 and Kelly Clarkson gig scrapped due to storm
Maroon 5 and Kelly Clarkson were forced to axe a concert in Washington on Saturday (28Sep13) due to dangerous storm conditions.
The chart-toppers brought their 12th Annual Honda Civic Tour to The Gorge Amphitheatre, an outdoor venue near the Columbia River in the city of George, but their sets were called off at the last minute due to rain and strong winds.
Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine appeared onstage to apologize to fans
for the cancellation and he also took to his Twitter.com page to
express his regret.
He tweeted, "I'm so sorry we had to cancel tonight guys. We will
make it up to you. We had to take safety into account. We hope you
understand," while his guitarist bandmate James Valentine added,
"Well that's a bummer."
The evening's support act Rozzi Crane, who is signed to Levine's
222 Records label, also explained, "So sorry to everyone at the
Gorge tonight. I loved playing for you all but it was reallll (sic)
windy up there. M5 & Kelly will make it up to you!"
