Mark Ruffalo delivers water to stricken Pennsylvania township
Written by . Published: December 16 2011
Actor Mark Ruffalo brought salvation to stricken residents of a township in Pennsylvania by delivering a supply of clean water.
Locals in Dimock Township have been without fresh drinking water since 2008, when their supply was contaminated with chemicals.
Affected residents in the area receive weekly deliveries of water,
and earlier this month (Dec11) Mark Ruffalo - a keen green
campaigner - was on hand to help out.
In a post on his Twitter.com page, he told fans, "I work very
closely with (environmental organisation) WaterKeeper. We joined
forces on WaterForDimock. Our friends in Dimock Pa need fresh water
for the holidays. Please make a small donation at
WaterDefense.org."
