Mariah Carey to play first ever Israel gig

Singer Mariah Carey is set to receive $500,000 to play a lucrative one-off gig in Tel Aviv, Israel.
The We Belong Together hitmaker has never played in the country before and editors at TMZ.com report that an Israeli promoter has brokered a half a million dollar deal for her first gig, which will be at the city's Rishon Lezion Live Park Amphitheater.
In a video aired at a press conference for the show, Carey
declares, "Shalom Israel, I will be coming to see you live on
August 18, so come to see me! Shalom."
Last month (Jun15), Carey visited Israel with her boyfriend James
Packer, who is friends with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin
Netanyahu.
