Lindsay Lohan's purse stolen in Hawaii

Written by . Published: December 12 2011

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan flew into a panic on Saturday night (10Dec11) after her designer purse and passport were stolen while she attended a party in Hawaii.

The Mean Girls star, who is vacationing on the islands, accidentally left her $5,000 Chanel clutch in a car as she stopped by a house party in Laie - but the purse had been swiped by the time she returned to the vehicle to collect the bag.

According to TMZ.com, Lohan lost a lot more than just her passport - the clutch also contained her probation paperwork granting her permission to travel outside of Los Angeles, in addition to $10,000 in cash.

Luckily for the actress, the purse and all of her legal documents were found by a local on Sunday morning (11Dec11) - although the large wad of cash was nowhere to be seen.

It's not the first time Lohan has misplaced her passport - she lost the travel papers while at the Cannes Film Festival in France last year (10), just days before she was due in court.

She is due back in a California court on Wednesday (14Dec11) for a probation progress hearing.
