Lindsay Lohan hit with lawsuit from paparazzo, lien from the tax man
The New Year has brought Lindsay Lohan new legal and financial woes - she has been hit with a lawsuit from an injured paparazzo and a tax lien within days of each other.
The troubled star spent much of 2011 fighting legal woes and is still serving community service she was handed last year for a probation violation - and it looks like 2012 will be another 12 months of problems for her.
On Tuesday (10Jan12), TMZ.com obtained a new legal claim against
Lindsay Lohan from a snapper who claims he was injured when a car
driven by the star's assistant hit him while he was trying to
photograph the Mean Girls star as she left a Hollywood club two
years ago (10Jan10).
Grigor Balyan's lawyer, Neil Steiner, claims he subsequently
attempted to settle the incident with Lohan's insurance company -
but they only made "an insignificant offer".
Steiner tells TMZ.com he is seeking "reasonable compensation" for
his client, who was treated for orthopaedic and neurologic injuries
following the alleged accident.
Meanwhile, the actress also has a new $93,700 headache - officials
at the Internal Revenue Service are chasing her for tax she
allegedly failed to pay in 2009.
According to documents filed in Los Angeles the IRS tax men have
obtained a lien against Lindsay Lohan for not paying her federal
income tax.
The bad news comes just days after Lindsay Lohan landed a new
modeling contract with French Connection. She is also in talks to
portray the young Dame Elizabeth Taylor in a new movie.
