Lenny Kravitz breaks silence after wardrobe malfunction

Rocker Lenny Kravitz has broken his silence on "penisgate" after a photo of him suffering a major wardrobe malfunction went viral on Tuesday (04Aug15).

The American Woman hitmaker was rocking out during a gig in Sweden on Monday (03Aug15) when he squatted mid-song and his leather trousers ripped, revealing his manhood dangling between his legs.

Video footage and still shots of his unexpected exposure subsequently went viral, and late Tuesday, Kravitz responded with a simple tweet which read: "#PenisGate", along with a screenshot of a text message exchange between himself and Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler.

The conversation read: "Dude... No underwear and pierced ... F**k me.. You never showed me that s**t"."
