LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian want children

Leann Rimes wants to have a child of her own with husband Eddie Cibrian because playing stepmother to his two kids has convinced her she is ready for parenthood.

The actor has two children with his ex-wife Brandi Glanville, seven-year-old Mason and Jake, four, and LeAnn Rimes recently revealed it is "not easy being a stepparent", but she treats the boys "as if they are my own".

The singer has now conceded she is looking forward to the day they can expand the family, telling Country Weekly magazine, "They (the children) are awesome. And it does make me want to have a child eventually. I enjoy being a stepmum and I'd really love to have a child of our own, but we'll see... It's good, but a totally new experience for me. I'm enjoying every minute of it. I didn't realize how much I would enjoy it."

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian fell in love and cheated on their respective spouses while working on a TV movie in 2009. The country singer subsequently divorced dancer Dean Sheremet, while Eddie Cibrian left Brandi Glanville to be with LeAnn Rimes.

The couple wed earlier this year (11).
