LeAnn Rimes adopts puppy

Country star Leann Rimes has adopted a puppy found abandoned in the street after hearing of its plight online.

The Blue hitmaker asked to see the pooch when a female friend posted a message on Twitter.com revealing she had just rescued a dog from traffic in Los Angeles on Wednesday (07Nov12).

The kind-hearted singer/actress took the dog, named Eveie, home straight away much to the delight of her husband Eddie Cibrian and his sons, Mason and Jake.

Rimes writes in a post on her blog, "We ALL fell in love at first sight. Even our doggies welcomed her instantly... Mason says she came just in time for Thanksgiving. She's brought a ton of joy into our home in just the few hours she's been with us. Eveie has a new home and family and we have a new love!"
