Kylie Jenner requires oxygen tank in South America

Reality TV star Kylie Jenner had to seek emergency medical attention on Tuesday (09May17) as she battled altitude sickness in Peru.

Kim Kardashian's youngest sister took to Snapchat on Tuesday night to show off her new accessories - an oxygen tank and face mask - as a doctor explained the symptoms of the illness to her fans.

"At this altitude of 11,000 feet above sea level, you can feel nauseous, have headaches... feel like you're having the worst hangover ever," he says in the video post. "Kylie's getting oxygen so she'll feel better."

Despite her sickness, Kylie, who was dressed casually in a red Adidas tracksuit as she sat on a bed, was still well enough to mess around with her best friend Jordyn Woods, and even snapped a photo with the medical technician, which she shared on the social media app.

The 19-year-old's bout of ill health occurred after she and her mother, Kris Jenner, spent the day visiting young patients at the Delgado Clinic in Lima as part of Kylie's charity work with Smile Train, which aims to provide free surgeries to needy kids with cleft lips or palates.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians regular is an ambassador for the non-profit organization, and has been helping to raise funds for Smile Train with the release of a special edition product from her Kylie Lip Kit cosmetics line. The pale pink matte lipstick, simply named Smile, has repeatedly sold out online since its launch last year (Oct16).
