Kesha: 'I should have known Jerry Seinfeld wouldn't want to hug'

Kesha was left embarrassed after Jerry Seinfeld refused to hug her at a recent red carpet event.

The iconic Seinfeld funnyman was approached by the singer while he was speaking to a reporter at the National Night of Laughter and Song event in Washington, D.C. last month (Jul17). Kesha tried to hug Jerry several times, but he turned her down because she was "total stranger".

The anti-hug made the headlines after it was caught on camera, and now the singer has revealed she persisted because she's a big fan, but should have known Seinfeld wouldn't want to hug her.

"I felt like I was five years old," she told SiriusXM's Hits 1 radio show. "I, like, somehow ended up in my very own mini-episode of Seinfeld for, like, five seconds. I should have known better, (it's) fine, (he's) not a huggy guy."

"I've seen every episode (of Seinfeld) a thousand times," she added. "I used to carry the whole season package with me everywhere on my carry-on. Like DVDs. That's why I wanted a hug so hard."

However, Kesha finally received the hug she was looking for - from Bob Dylan. She was scared to ask at first, but they ended up embracing twice.

"My idol, like, in life, Bob Dylan agreed to meet up with me because we were playing the same festival," she said.

"So I walked up and I just kind of, like, stood there and smiled, and he just opened his beautiful arms and gave me the most wonderful, healing, Bob Dylan hug that I have ever dreamt of and I just could care less about anything else," she continued. "He gave me another hug at the end of our conversation. I got two Bob Dylan hugs!"
