Kanye West has truly joined the ranks of chart royalty after debuting eight new songs on the new Billboard Hot 100 countdown.

The rapper passes rival Taylor Swift, the Beatles, and Aretha Franklin to tie with the late Ray Charles for the eighth-most Hot 100 hits, with 75.

All the new tracks come from Kanye's The Life of Pablo album, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 on Sunday (10Apr16).

The new total puts Kanye into the top 10 for the first time.

The Glee cast rules the chart list with 207 Hot 100 hits, and Lil Wayne is a distant second with 129.

Elvis Presley, at 108, is one ahead of Drake, who is 10 ahead of late soul man James Brown.

Jay Z and Chris Brown also have a few more hits than Kanye and Ray Charles, who featured on the rapper's 2005 Hot 100 number one Gold Digger.
