Justin Bieber offered plea deal in DUI case
Embattled pop star Justin Bieber has been offered a plea deal to avoid jail for driving under the influence (DUI), according to reports.
The Baby hitmaker was arrested in Miami, Florida in January (14) on suspicion of driving under the influence, driving on a suspended license and resisting arrest without violence and he subsequently pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Editors at TMZ.com report Bieber has now been offered a deal that
will allow him to avoid a jail sentence, but only if he agrees to
submit to regular drug tests.
Law enforcement sources tell the website the Florida State Attorney
has offered Bieber the chance to plead no contest to reckless
driving, and in return the star must complete 40 hours of community
service and attend an alcohol education class.
As part of the deal, Bieber will also reportedly have to submit to
random drug testing.
It is not known if the star plans to accept the reported deal.
