Jessie J and Andrew Lloyd Webber to receive Silver Clefs

Jessie J and legendary composer Andrew Lloyd Webber are set to be honoured for their musical achievements at Britain's Silver Clef Awards next month (Jun12).


The Price Tag hitmaker will pick up the Best British Act accolade while Webber will be handed the coveted Sony Mobile Lifetime Achievement trophy at the 2012 Nordoff Robbins 02 Silver Clef Awards in London on 29 June (12).


The event recognises distinguished artists for their talent and charitable contributions to Nordoff Robbins, an organisation which provides musical therapy to vulnerable adults and children across the U.K., and Lloyd Webber is thrilled to be bestowed with the prestigious prize.


He says, "I am honoured to be the recipient of this year's Sony Mobile'Lifetime Achievement Award at the Nordoff Robbins O2 Silver Clef lunch, and would like to take this opportunity to pay tribute to the wonderful work of Nordoff Robbins in transforming lives through music therapy. I'm looking forward to celebrating with Jessie J and the other award winners in June."


The star-studded ceremony, which will take place at the London Hilton, will reunite Jessie J and Lloyd Webber, who discovered the hitmaker 13 years ago.


The theatre icon long been credited with launching the 24 year old's career after casting her in his West End production of Whistle Down The Wind.
