Rapper Jay Z is reportedly seeking a default judgment in his lawsuit against bosses at Parlux Fragrances.

The executives at the company sued the 99 Problems hitmaker in 2016, claiming he did not adhere to the terms of a licensing deal he signed with them in 2012. According to Bossip.com, the 47-year-old agreed to promote his Gold Jay Z cologne through social media and appearances, but he allegedly failed to book any events.

Company bosses were seeking no less than $18 million , but Jay Z filed a countersuit against the executives alleging breach of contract after they reportedly failed to make payments to him and devote resources to promote the fragrance.

Jay Z sued for $1.5 million in royalties and additional funds for advertising costs and damages.

Earlier this month (May17), the rapper asked the judge to grant him a partial summary, claiming he has not received any royalty payments, but the company has continued to profit off of his name.
