Jason Segel honoured as Harvard's main man at wacky ceremony

Jason Segel was surrounded by flamboyant students in fancy dress when he was honoured with the Hasty Pudding Club's 2012 Man of the Year award at Harvard University on Friday (03Feb12).

The Forgetting Sarah Marshall star was handed the annual prize by the revered university in Massachusetts in a wacky ceremony.

He was surrounded by students dressed as ancient Egyptians and in African tribal dress when he picked up the Hasty Pudding Pot, which he gleefully kissed for the cameras.

He told the assembled crowd, "This is a very prestigious thing and it's very fun, but half of the reason that it meant anything to me was that my whole family lives here."

Claire Danes was unveiled as this year's (12) Woman of the Year and headed to Cambridge, Massachusetts for her prizegiving last month (26Jan12).
