Jake T. Austin pleads no contest to DUI
Jake T. Austin has pleaded no contest to one count of driving under the influence.
The Wizards of Waverly Place star failed a field sobriety test when he was pulled over by police in Los Angeles on 8 October (13), and on Wednesday (20Nov13), the 18 year old admitted he was in the wrong in court.
He has been placed on two years probation.
The legal drama comes a day after Austin's 2010 Audi was involved
in a hit-and-run and abandoned on the streets of Sherman Oaks,
California.
The driver of the car allegedly hit three parked vehicles early
Tuesday (19Nov13) morning. It is still not clear if the actor was
actually behind the wheel at the time of the accident. The
unidentified driver and his passengers had left the scene of the
crime by the time police arrived to investigate, according to
eyewitnesses.
Cops have yet to make any arrests in Tuesday's incident, which is
being treated as a hit-and-run.
