Halsey: 'I can't wait to be a mum'

Singer Halsey is looking forward to motherhood despite her health issues.

The Castle singer revealed that she feels more of an urgency to become a mom due to her battle with endometriosis, a condition where the tissue that lines the uterus grows outside it, during an interview with Nova FM's Kent 'Smallzy' Small on Monday (29May17).

In 2015, Halsey, real name Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, suffered a miscarriage while on tour with Imagine Dragons, but lost the baby, and had to perform just hours later.

Smallzy asked Halsey if "kids were on the radar" after she confessed that her dog Jagger was "preparing her for motherhood."

"I mean always but... my clock is ticking because I have endometriosis so, like, I have to think about those things differently than a lot of other women do,' she replied. "But also a lot of other women do because the disease affects so many people but I'm also a musician and tour. But I want to be a mom so badly, I love kids."

The 22-year-old singer also revealed she would "absolutely" take her children on the road, like some of the parents who work pn her tour.

"I know so many kids and I have so many people who work for me that are the by-product of people who were touring and they're just the coolest kids," she smiled.

The Now or Never songstress, who is about to release her sophomore album Hopeless Fountain Kingdom, candidly revealed that her "on-off" relationship with Norwegian musician Lido has provided plenty of inspiration for her new disc. But while it compelled her to produce new music, unfortunately they didn't make up.

"The album was about this prolonged relationship I was in, this break-up, back together, break up, back together, break up, back together kind of thing," she sighed. And when asked what the current relationship status is, she replied: "Super broken up."
