Garfield surprises Spider-Man fans at trailer screening
Andrew Garfield thrilled a group of eager Spider-Man fans at the New York premiere of the upcoming movie's trailer on Monday (06Feb12) by showing up unannounced at the screening.
Devotees queued for hours outside Manhattan's Regal Union Square for the grand unveiling of The Amazing Spider-Man footage - an event that also took place in Los Angeles, the U.K. and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The New York crowd was treated to a live link-up to director Marc
Webb in L.A., while actress Emma Stone and Rhys Ifans also made
appearances from around the globe.
But the fans were left stunned when Garfield - the new web-slinger
- walked into the theater to address the devotees in person.
He told them, "It means the world to all of us that you care so
much. Thank you for being here."
The actor joined Webb and his co-stars for a question-and-answer
session, according to MTV News.
