Foxy Brown has called in her lawyers to deal with a woman she claims has been posing as her manager and releasing "fake" news about her career.
The rapper claims her attorneys have sent a cease-and-desist letter to Bernadette Brennan over allegations she distributed a false press release about the star's musical plans.
The statement, reported by Allhiphop.com, is said to have suggested Brown was due to release a new single called You Aint Ruff Enough on 1 January (11).
But Brown - real name Inga Marchand - claims the information is untrue and insists she is managed by her brothers, Gavin and Anton Marchand.
In a series of posts on Twitter.com she writes, "If yall don't hear it from a Marchand (Inga, Gavin or Anton) its bull!... Just got the call... I'm repped by the Marchands not Bernadette Brennan... NO single will be sold on itunes Jan 1st."
She later adds, "Update... My attorney officially hit the thief in the fraudulent song scam with an immediate cease and desist! (They have been) sent notices of our impending lawsuit."
