Flo Rida hosts gospel charity concert
Rapper Flo Rida hosted a free gospel concert in his hometown of Carol City in Miami on Friday (23Nov12) to raise money for charity.
The Wild Ones hitmaker hosted the gig and also performed alongside Grammy Award-winning group Mary Mary and singer J Moss for the Gospel Explosion event in aid of Big Dreams for Kids Foundation.
The charity was founded by the hip-hop star, real name Tramar
Dillard, to support underprivileged children and the event was
co-sponsored by his own label International Music Group, along with
Strong Arm Management, according to Allhiphop.com.
He said in a statement, "Gospel music is soul stirring, it moves
people, we are excited to bring 'The Gospel Explosion' to Miami
Gardens during the Thanksgiving weekend. Inspiring words whether
spoken or in song can make a world of difference in the life of a
dreamer. I wouldn't be where I am without them."
