Emily Ratajkowski grateful to Emma Watson for supporting her feminism

Emily Ratajkowski has paid tribute to kindred spirit Emma Watson for supporting her right to strip off and call herself a feminist.

The model-turned-actress has her own provocative way of sharing her message of female empowerment, regularly posting nude or topless photos, which has at times led to criticism. She is known to be a passionate supporter of a woman's right to portray her body in whichever way she sees fit - something Emma also appears to agree with.

“To start saying that certain people need to have a license to be feminist is insane,” Emily exclaimed in an interview with Britain's Glamour magazine, as she shared her appreciation for Emma's views.

“Emma Watson said feminism isn’t some kind of tool to beat other women with, it’s supposed to be a freedom of choice.”

In the interview, the 26-year-old model also explained she wants women to understand their sexuality without it being filtered through how they're viewed by men.

“I believe in sexuality,” the Gone Girl star continued. “I think it’s a wonderful thing and, if anything, I want women to understand their own sexuality outside of a patriarchal male gaze.

"We’re the core of sexual beings, and I think that’s something that should be celebrated rather than attacked.”
