Elizabeth Banks is in negotiations to direct a new Charlie'S Angels film.
Following her break-out success as a filmmaker behind the camera for Pitch Perfect 2, Banks has emerged as the frontrunner to tackle the latest movie in the all-girls action franchise.
Banks is also in talks to produce the film with her husband Max Handelman, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Charlie's Angels began life as a beloved 1970s TV series, featuring the late Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith and spawned two films, starring Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu as the titular detectives.
There was also an attempt made to revive it as a TV series in 2011, but that only lasted four episodes.
