Chris Pine is reportedly in talks to reunite with his Hell Or High Water director David Mackenzie on a film about Robert The Bruce.

If the Star Trek actor signs on to the project, he will portray Bruce, the king who freed his country from England's rule, in Outlaw King. According to Deadline, Ben Foster, who played Pine's bankrobbing brother in Hell or High Water, is in negotiations to play Scottish knight James Douglas.

Mackenzie has written the script for the movie, which will premiere on streaming service Netflix, and it is reportedly scheduled to begin shooting in Scotland in August (17).

Pine won't be the first to play the historical Scottish hero on the big screen - Angus Macfadyen played Robert the Bruce in Mel Gibson's Braveheart.
