Cher cancels tour to recover from illness
Pop superstar Cher has canceled the rest of her tour in order to recover from a viral infection.
The Believe hitmaker initially halted her Dressed to Kill trek at the beginning of September (14) and planned to resume the shows earlier this month (Nov14), but the veteran singer continued to struggle with her recovery.
Cher has now announced she will not be able to continue with the
rest of her tour and has decided to axe all her upcoming gigs.
She says in a statement which reads, "I am totally devastated.
Nothing like this has ever happened to me. I cannot apologize
enough to all the fans who bought tickets. I'm so proud of this
show. It is my best ever. I sincerely hope that we can come back
again next year and finish what we started."
Cher's representative recently confirmed the pop star has been
wearing a heart monitor to "ensure that she continues her excellent
recovery from the viral infection she had".
She had already axed six dates in November (14) and had 23 more
concerts left up until the end of the tour in February (15).
