Country star Carrie Underwood has achieved a career milestone with her new hit Something In The Water - it has become her best-selling first week single.
The Grammy winner's track reached more than 124,000 in digital sales across the nation since its release on 29 September (14), marking her best performance since 2009's Cowboy Casanova, which debuted with more than 110,000 copies.
With the impressive sales figure, Underwood has managed to break a few more records, as it marks the best first week for a single by any American Idol winner and is the best opening week of any female country artist in 2014.
The track was also added to a record-setting 144 radio stations in the country, which is an all-time best for any country song, according to radio airplay tracking company Mediabase.
Something in the Water, which features a strong Christian theme, is the new track from Underwood's upcoming Greatest Hits: Decade #1 album, which is set for release on 9 December (14).
