Brie Larson Was in a 'blur' While Shooting Kong: Skull Island

Brie Larson felt very "confused" while attending awards shows whilst also filming Kong: Skull Island.

The actress stars as Mason Weaver, a war photojournalist and peace activist in the new action-adventure movie, which tells of a secretive organization who travel to a Pacific island to seek out a monstrous ape.

Filming of Kong: Skull Island took place in Vietnam, Hawaii and Australia's Gold Coast, and Brie admits that traveling between set locations and the 2016 Hollywood awards shows caused her some serious headaches.

"I flew from Vietnam to the Oscars and then flew back to Vietnam at like 6am the morning after the Oscars," said Brie during an appearance on British TV show Lorraine on Thursday (02Mar17).

The trip was worth it though, as she went away with Best Actress Oscar for her part in Room.

The 27-year-old went on to explain that the shoot was "very confusing" because she would spend all week climbing mountains and getting dirty, only to get "scrubbed down" and board a plane to Los Angeles on the weekend.

"I remember distinctly showing up in Vietnam after the Oscars and just like not being able to contact anyone, I had no cell service (and thinking) 'Did any of that actually happen, I have no idea', it was just a blur," she added.

Meanwhile, Brie's co-star Samuel L. Jackson, who plays Preston Packard, an Army Lieutenant Colonel in the movie, shared that the cast missed her when she was back in Hollywood while they remained on location.

"She was traveling way more than we were because that was her season of collecting hardware worldwide (during film awards season 2016). So we would go some place and we would go, 'Where's Brie?', 'Oh she had to go back to L.A. and get an award', 'Oh she had to go to New York and get an award,'" he smiled.
