Billie Lourd leads celebrities honoring mom on Mother's Day

Actress Billie Lourd marked her first Mother's Day without her mom Carrie Fisher on Sunday (14May17) by sharing a throwback family photo of herself as a baby with the late Star Wars icon.

The 24-year-old captioned the Instagram snap with a simple heart emoji.

Carrie died at the age of 60 in December (16), days after suffering a massive heart attack on a plane ride from London to Los Angeles.

Billie wasn't the only star to take to social media with a Mother's Day message on Sunday - Reese Witherspoon shared a rare photo with all three of her kids, adding the caption: "Being a mom is one of the biggest joys of my life. I have learned so much from my 3 kids... patience, kindness, humility, creativity and of course, how to tell a great knock-knock joke!"

She added: "To my wonderful kids, I love you more than you will ever know (You will figure that out as soon as you have your own kids.) Always know how grateful I am everyday I get to be your mom!!"

Cindy Crawford, Liv Tyler, Emily Ratajkowski, Amy Schumer, Tori Spelling, Sofia Vergara, Alicia Keys, Heidi Klum, and Kardashian/Jenner family matriarch Kris Jenner also shared images to mark Mother's Day 2017.
